Desiree Kane, #7.04 (yes, really), is co-founder of The PPL (pronounced "the people"), a Charlotte-lead initiative to provide access, services and a platform for active community engagement during the Democratic National Convention in 2012.
She is a Knight Foundation Charlotte Community Advisory Board member as well as recently received a scholarship to go to Doha, Qatar in the Middle East for TEDxSummit after creating an innovative Digital Media Internship program for TEDxCharlotte.
